Welcome to the Amber Project Website
The Amber Project exists to support any young person (aged 14-25) in Cardiff and the surrounding areas who has experience of self-harm.
Please feel free to look around, and if you have any questions or think that we might be able to help, please do contact us. We are available Monday - Friday 9:30-5:30 . Unfortunately the current Coronavirus outbreak has had a huge impact on our services and we are currently unable to take new referrals. However if you get in touch we will take your details and get back to you as soon as we are able to resume normal services. Visit the 'What happens next' section of the About Us page for more details.
We are beginning yet another week of working remotely from home. However the good news is that we are preparing to return to the office !
If you are a young person who accesses the project you should have been contacted by a support worker. If you have accessed counselling, three of our counsellors Louise, Rachel and Sue (who is our children's counsellor) are also offering support during this difficult period; this is not counselling as such but will hopefully provide you with emotional support,
If you currently access the project or have done in the past and you need additional support please do get in touch.
Our usual Working Hours are
Caryl and Stacey 9:00-5:00;
Caryl: 07905 905437
Stacey: 07450 069022
Beth and Minnie will continue to work on a part time basis;

The wellbeing of the children and young people who access 'Amber' is paramount, and we ask that you bear with us at this difficult time.
Week commencing Monday 17th August, Caryl is on annual leave. Minnie is unavailable on Monday.
Bored, wondering how to keep busy....
Check out our new pages, What to do when there's nothing to do.
From Monday 17th August we are taking a short summer break from workshops until the week commencing Monday 7th September , when all workshops resume remotely. The project is extremely grateful to the funders who are enabling us to develop new ways of working at this difficult time . Check out our 'News' page for more information about the groups.
We are optimistic that over the next few weeks we will be able to start to process referrals that were made to Amber prior to lock down . If you have been referred / or made a referral to the project please do get in touch..
